SQUIRREL, SEASONAL GROUP
Requirement
Full size fiberglass model of the clients toy produced into 5 easy sections for ease of build and transport to be erected on various sites around the UK and Europe.
Process
By dismantling the toy in several areas I was able to scale up the design. I started drawing the scaled design onto large blocks of HD polystyrene foam and proceeded to cut out the shape with an electric hotwire and carving tools.
Challenge
With no technical drawings I needed to enlarge the actual toy model from only 3" tall to 9ft.
Finishing
The final piece was then hardcoated , sanded and finished off with a 2k paint for ultimate protection. Every section was built in such a way that they were easy to assemble on every convention.
