ANIMATRONIX, 2023
Brief
To supply a plaster mould from the clients original design so multiple castings in latex can be produced, skins to be later painted and then made into an animatronic character.
Process
Starting with a sub frame of polystyrene, I then started blocking out with air dry clay , then slowly and gradually start sculpting in the detail.
Finishing
Finally, by adding a clay seam, I then produce a light, but very strong plaster cast in two separate parts. And then finally hand painted.
